LinkedIn Today is a great social news blog to follow regularly. Like its parent professional network LinkedIn, the blog focuses on sharing business content. LinkedIn is a free-to-join social network website. The blog is located within the top menu of LinkedIn. Log into the website and then hover over the word News in the top menu. Next, select the LinkedIn Today option from the drop-down menu.

- Click the cog-shaped widget on the top-right hand corner of the screen.
- Click the blue +Follow button under the "Suggestions for You" header if of interest
- Peruse the list of all industries below the suggested list and press the +Follow buttons for any relevant options.

A great way to get business ideas is by browsing the personalized news feed. Read the trending topics to prompt “aha” moments for his or her job or career. Perhaps the author has missed a key point that can be expanded on by a freelance writer who reads the article posted on the LinkedIn Today news feed. Say current to avoid missed opportunities and inspire new business ideas.
