Everything But The Girl Reissue Four Music Albums
EBTG Reissue Music Albums
Who Is Everything But The Girl?
The pop Indie duo Everything But The Girl received massive success in 1994 with the release of Todd Terry's remix of the song "Missing".
After nearly a decade apart, the duo stands to make another rise in the music scene with the deluxe reissue of the first four Everything But The Girl (EBTG) albums. The albums were reissued May 29, 2012.
While the group received widespread fame for their dance and pop tunes, they also have released many acoustic tracks and jazz songs. The duo is composed of Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt, who both have their roots in England.
Edsel released the albums earlier than the projected date of June 5 and all four albums are now widely available online and in stores.
The EBTG Music Albums
The four albums that get a reissue are some of the earliest work of the EBTG duo. The deluxe editions give a new face to 1984's Eden, 1985's Love Not Money, 1986's Baby, The Stars Shine Bright and 1988's Idlewild. The Edsel label releases the albums as double-CD/book sets.
Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt appeared on the BBC 6 Music Breakfast Show for a live interview May 25 to discuss the project that hit shops and online stores that same week.
The four albums have a freshened look as John Gilsenan at iwantdesign creates a sleeve hardback CD book for each reissue of the EBTG albums. Each book contains two CDs, which includes the original album, B-sides, radio session tracks and unreleased demos. Each book also contains a book of lyrics and photos of Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt.
The album Baby, The Stars Shine Bright features 12 bonus tracks; there are seven non-album single b-sides and five previously unreleased home demos. Hit songs from the 1986 album are "Come On Home" and "Don't Leave Me Behind".
